I have to admit, I’ve never been a fan of meatloaf. It has nothing to do with taste, it’s just the concept. Meat is just something I felt strongly should not come in loaf form. Bread? Yes. Ground meat? No. But I came across a recipe for mini meatloaves and had all of the ingredients on hand, so thought I would give it a try. It was super quick and easy to make, leftovers are great for Andrew’s lunch and it’s fairly healthy.
When you become a parent, people wrongly assume that your life slows right down and you enter a downward spiral of diaper changes and baby talk. I’m here to set the record straight, because having a baby is like reliving your younger years and they should be considered the ultimate party animals.
My last blog post was in March, now let’s see what happened in March… I came back from a wonderful trip to Cuba with Andrew and our friends Justin and Melanie, celebrated a few friends’ birthdays and what else… oh. I found out I was pregnant.
I want to be the type of person who goes to the gym a few times a week, wakes up at the crack of dawn and gets the adrenaline pumping. But I keep inventing excuses for not going to the gym, which is on the second floor of our building. The second floor and a reason we moved into this fancy-pants condo. (Dishwasher! Gym! Washer and Dryer! Rooftop BBQ’s! Party Room! OMG we’re going to have SO MANY PARTIES!)
Happy Valentine’s Day to those who celebrate it. And happy anti-consumerist-grouchy Day to those who don’t! (I wouldn’t want to exclude anyone).
I’m a bit obsessed with Mexican food – the fresh ingredients, the spicy sauces not to mention my jalapeno addiction. I’m trying to eat healthier (less red meat, more seafood and vegetarian meals) so when I was walking through Kensington Market over the weekend I decided to pick up ingredients to make fish tacos for dinner.
Pet owners and would be pet owners of 2013 – where did you/do you plan on getting your cat/dog/rabbit/turtle from? I wanted to share the story of adopting my dog, and encourage anyone who is thinking of giving a pet a home to consider adoption.
